Gruvi Inc has teamed up with Bethel Hamliri, a Bronx based certified 501 (c) 3 non-profit, to provide access to safe, clean drinking water in Fada N'Gourma, Burkina Faso.
Bethel Hamliri is a Certified 401 (c)3 located in the Hunts Point neighborhood of the Bronx. They provide a wide range of services to the West African community in the Bronx. By providing healthy foods, financial literacy workshops, diabetes prevention workshops, and much much more, Bethel Hamliri is improving the public health of their immediate community. Franck Kabore, the founder of Bethel Hamliri comes from the Fada N'Gourma region of Burkina Faso, and continues to work to provide services to his region. Bethel Hamliri works in conjunction with the Burkina Faso government to deliver twice-weekly radio shows hosted all across Burkina Faso reaching over 300,000 individual per week. Through these radio shows, Bethel Hamliri is able to provide women and children focused nutritional services, hypertension and diabetes prevention, and bring awareness to social issues such as forced child wedding, women social exclusion, child labor, and female genital mutilation.
Gruvi Inc is a Bronx based producer of all-natural spirulina based fruit juices. Gruvi juices has a strong background in public health and health/social equity. Gruvi and Bethel Hamliri worked together using regional Burkina Faso ingredients to develop a Burkina Faso inspired beverage. Gruvi has pledged to donate 100% of profits from this beverage to further Bethel Hamliri's mission to provide access to clean drinking water desperately needed by District 12, Fada N'Gourma.
